NextScorpio Investments begins where most firms end: with capital that is entirely our own. We do not manage, pool, or accept money from the public. We trade only what is ours — and that single principle shapes everything that follows.

The discipline of the markets funds the mission. Profit generated through careful, technology-led trading is deployed into startups and small businesses as patient, hands-on capital. When we back a venture, we do so as an official equity partner — sharing the risk, the work, and the outcome.

Our near-term focus is deliberate. We are first standing up a small circle of ventures alongside trusted contacts we know well, with NextScorpio funding them and joining formally as an equity partner. It is how we build a real track record — proof before scale — on the way to backing founders far beyond our own network.

The gap we exist to close is India's early-funding gap: too many capable founders, too little capital reaching them. We intend to be one honest answer to that.

NextScorpio Investments grew out of a simple belief: that a good idea in India should never be stranded for want of backing. Founded by operators who came up through the markets, the firm pairs the precision of quantitative trading with the patience of a long-term builder. We keep our capital our own, our commitments clear, and our ambitions measured in the businesses and livelihoods we help create.

What you'll do

Track markets, sectors, and macro trends relevant to our trading and venture theses.
Produce crisp periodic research notes and reports for the founders and the desk.
Build and maintain data sets, dashboards, and sources that keep our view current.
Diligence prospective startups and small businesses ahead of funding decisions.

What we're looking for

3+ years in equity/market research, financial analysis, or a comparable data-heavy role.
Genuine fluency with spreadsheets and data tools; comfort turning numbers into a narrative.
Writing that is clear, structured, and honest about uncertainty.
A self-starter who can own the research function without hand-holding.

What you'll do

Shape and steward the brand across web, social, and outreach.
Build the pipeline of founders and small businesses who want us as a partner.
Plan and run campaigns, content, and events that build trust and reach.
Work closely with the founders to translate strategy into a public voice.

What we're looking for

4+ years in marketing with real industry experience — finance, fintech, or venture a strong plus.
A track record of building an audience or brand from an early stage.
Strong instincts for positioning, storytelling, and digital channels.
Comfortable being hands-on in a lean team where you both plan and execute.

Senior Investment Due Diligence & Underwriting Manager

You are the judgment at the centre of every funding decision. You lead due diligence and underwriting on prospective investments, and keep the portfolio's risk honest as it grows.

What you'll do

Lead end-to-end due diligence on prospective startups and small businesses ahead of funding.
Underwrite investments — assess viability, structure, and downside, and frame the risk-reward clearly for the founders.
Build and own the underwriting and risk framework as the portfolio scales.
Monitor portfolio and trading risk, set exposure limits, and flag concentrations early.
Prepare investment memos and recommendations that stand up to scrutiny.

What we're looking for

7–12 years in investment due diligence, underwriting, credit/investment risk, or transaction advisory.
Strong command of financial analysis, valuation, deal structuring, and risk assessment.
Sound, independent judgment and the temperament to hold a firm line under pressure.
Fluency with financial models and data; a relevant qualification (CA / CFA / MBA-Finance) a strong plus.

You keep the firm's numbers precise and its records current — the quiet backbone that lets everyone else move with confidence.

What you'll do

Maintain accurate track records of every investment and its performance.
Own day-to-day bookkeeping, ledgers, and reconciliations.
Prepare financial statements, MIS, and periodic reporting for the founders.
Support taxation, statutory compliance, and audit readiness.
Keep clean records of capital deployed, holdings, and returns across the portfolio.

What we're looking for

3+ years in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance operations.
Hands-on with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar) and spreadsheets.
Precision, discipline, and a strong sense of ownership over the numbers.
A finance/accounting qualification (B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter) preferred.
